Len Earns ACC Rookie of Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland's Alex Len was voted the ACC Rookie of the Week on Monday, and Virginia's Mike Scott earned the ACC Player of the Week honor.
Len averaged 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games as Maryland split two games. The Antratsit, Ukraine, native had a double-double in his first career ACC game, with 12 points and 11 rebounds and two blocked shots in a 79-74 loss at NC State.
Earlier in the week, Len had 15 points and nine rebounds, going 5-for-5 from the floor, in a 70-62 win over Cornell. In his four games this season, Len is shooting 76.9 from the floor (20-for-26), while averaging 13.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots per game.
He is Maryland's first Rookie of the Week winner this season and the Terrapins' first since Terrell Stoglin won the award in back-to-back weeks on Feb. 21 and 28 last season.
Stoglin earned Player of the Week honors for the Terrapins for the week of Dec. 5 this season.
